Obituary

Larry Dean Eisentrager, 74, of the Tama-Toledo area passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 12-1 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Graveside Service following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama.

Larry was born on June 29, 1941 in Hampton, Iowa, the son of Glen and Margaret (Johns) Eisentrager.
On August 20, 1960, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Lacina in Ackley, Iowa.
Larry retired from Fisher Controls in Marshalltown where he was in charge of the Plant Emergency operations. He was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Larry was a volunteer firefighter for many years and also did fire training in Marshall County. He enjoyed working around his farm and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Charlotte of Toledo; two children, Stuart (Becky) Eistentrager of Tama and Kathy (Mark) Plouffe of Toledo; three grandchildren, April (Jason) Tietje of Marshalltown, Kristy Eisentrager (Quentin) of Chelsea and Randy Eisentrager of Marshalltown; five great-grandchildren, Corbin and Brady Tietje, Cole Eisentrager, Ayden Behounek and Sydney Eisentrager; one brother, Bob Eisentrager of Missouri; two sisters, Deb (Bart) Janssen of Iowa Falls and Connie (Dennis) Sweiter of Hampton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters; and one great-grandson.
Memorials are appreciated to the Tama County Humane Society.
