LaVonne Kathryn Lynch Renner, 95, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Premier Estates of Toledo under the care of Hospice of Compassus. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

LaVonne was born on January 16, 1929 in rural Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Anna (Henningsen) Lynch.

She graduated from Grundy Center High School. She attended Iowa State for her teaching certificate and taught school in Dinsdale.

On August 14, 1949, she married Dale M. Renner at the First Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. After her marriage, she helped Dale on the farm, sold chickens and was a housewife. LaVonne enjoyed crafts and was a good artist. She was a 4-H leader and Girl Scout leader. LaVonne was a member of the Reinbeck Women's Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Renner of Toledo; and several cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dale in 2007; and son, Michael Renner.
