Lilyanna Kucera, 91, of Tama, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Premier Estates of Toledo under the care of Hospice Compassus. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Lilyanna was born on June 21, 1928, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Sidney and Louise (Turbett) Ramsdell.

On August 13, 1943, she was united in marriage to Henry Kucera in Waterloo, Iowa.

Lilyanna helped Henry on the farm. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Sauer of Marshalltown; three grandsons, Billy (Aurelia) Benda of Malcom, Donnie (Glynis) Benda of Marshalltown, and Mark (Serena) Benda of Marshalltown; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sandy Moore and Sondra Fitzgibbon; one nephew, Randy Moore; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Hank in 2010; one grandson, Benjamin Benda; and one sister, Lottie Giger.

Memorials may be directed to the Tama County Humane Society in Tama.
