Linda Joyce Eberhart, 75, of Montour, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Westbrook Acres Care Center in Gladbrook. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Linda was born on July 15, 1941, in Buckeye, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Blanche (Crosser) Sullivan.
She graduated from Tama High School in 1959.
On October 21, 1960, she was united in marriage to Norman Eberhart in Toledo, Iowa. Linda was a playground supervisor at the Montour school. She also worked at Rube's Steakhouse in Montour, Certainteed Corp. in Grinnell, and was a Walmart greeter. Linda attended the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Montour. She liked to go to the casino and enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and playing cards.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Susan) Eberhart of Montour, and Roger (Paula) Eberhart of Montour; four grandchildren, Krystal (Nick Peshel), Bryce, Kayla, and Paige Eberhart; a step-granddaughter, Jayme Wilkening of Marshalltown two great-grandchildren, Naomi and Nohlen Peshel; a step-great-granddaughter, Kyla Wilkening; one sister, Deloris (Arnold) Walton of Texas; and two nieces, Becky (Jim) Taft, and Debbie (Mark) Sutherland.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Norman on May 16, 2011; one son, Ronald in infancy; and one niece, Susie Pearson.
A memorial fund has been established.
