TAMA-Linda Lou Jordan Real, 64, of Tama passed away, Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama.
Linda was born on May 14, 1948, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Lois (Smith) Jordan.
She graduated from South Tama High School in 1966.
Her first marriage was to Kirk Tesar for sixteen years before he passed away. She then married Michael Real on July 4, 1982 in Tama. He passed away in October of 2011. Linda worked at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama for twenty-four years where she was a Medical Aid and twelve years at the Meskwaki Casino where she worked in the concession stand. Linda was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW. She enjoyed camping, reading, Elvis Presley and country music.
She was preceded in death by her father; her two husbands; and a daughter, Jill Marie Tesar.
Survivors include her mother, Lois Jordan of Tama; a step-daughter, Tonya Tesar; several cousins and other family members.
A memorial fund has been established.
