Obituary

Lloyd Douglas Davenport, 59, of Toledo, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Warren Riley officiating. A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of service at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Lloyd was born on May 27, 1958 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Inez Delaine Davenport.

He graduated from South Tama High School in 1976.

On August 18, 1979, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Albertson at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Lloyd was a supervisor at the Meskwaki Casino. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports. He especially liked the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. A high point being the Cubs winning the World Series in 2016. Lloyd loved spending time with his wife.

Survivors include his wife Kim of Toledo; three sons, Jared (Michele) Davenport of Montour, Justin (Karie) Davenport of Phoenix, AZ, and Josh (Samantha) Davenport of Marshalltown; nine grandchildren, Hunter, Livia, Kairi, Navy, Zoe, Benjamin, Annmarie, Lloyd, and Evie; one brother, Larry (Paula) Rohach of Toledo, and one sister, Jeannie (Terry) Hopper of East Dubuque, IL.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Inez Davenport; his step-father, Joe Rohach; and his uncle, Talbert Davenport.
