Lorraine Staker, 94, of Tama, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM until service time at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Lorraine was born on March 7, 1924, in Rhodes, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Pearl (Freeland) Schelker.

She graduated from Rhodes High School in 1942.

On July 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to Roland Staker in Rhodes, Iowa. During World War II, she worked in Des Moines at the Armory. She later worked at Tama State Bank in Tama and Twin Cities Insurance in Toledo until her retirement. Lorraine was a member of the former Community Church of Christ in Toledo. Lorraine enjoyed playing piano and organ. She also liked to sew and especially enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include her husband of seventy-five years, Roland of Tama; three sons, Gene (Sue) Staker of West Des Moines, Daryl (Kathy) Staker of Tama, and Randy (Barb) Staker of Cocoa Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Carroll Schelker of Crestview, FL

Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, Richard and Wayne Schelker.
