TAMA-Lorraine Weir, age 77, of Tama, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center under the care of Grinnell Regional Hospice. There will be no services. Private family interment will be at a future date. Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is handling the arrangements.
Lorraine was born on July 9, 1932 in Knoxville, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Wickam) Robison. She graduated from high school in Hopkins, MO. She was united in marriage to Ronald Weir on May 25, 1957 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Lorraine was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Hopkins, MO. Lorraine enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. She also enjoyed selling tickets for the family amusement business, attending the theatre, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and three brothers, Donald "Bud" Robison, Raymond Robison, and Francis Robison.
Survivors include her husband Ronald of Tama; son, Craig (Connie) Weir of Grinnell; two grandchildren, Christopher and Chana; two brothers, Melvin (Nelda) Robison of Yukon, OK, and Chester (Norma) Robison of Dillon, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established.
