Obituary

Margaret Mary Youngbear, 74, of Tama, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Margaret was born on October 9, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Agnes (Kubik) Chaloupek.
On July 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to Stanley Youngbear. Margaret most recently worked at Meskwaki Bingo and Casino and previously worked for many local businesses. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and past president of the Tama American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling and loved to read. She was also a avid collector of chicken memorabilia.
Survivors include her seven children, Harlan (Henrietta) Brown of Tama, Brenda Youngbear of Tama, Renetta (Bob) Plander of Toledo, Shari Youngbear of Tama, Terri (Dave) Ranabargar of Hannibal, MO, Tim Youngbear of Tama, and Rick "Bozo" (Betty) Youngbear of Schuyler, NE; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Purk of Tama, and Barb Kindig of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Stanley; a son, Stanley Jr.; a brother, Don Mull; a sister, Mary Ann Mull; and a grandson, Gerald Roberts.
