Margarette Anne Poteete's Obituary
TOLEDO-Margarette Anne Poteete, age 74, of Toledo, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Grinnell Regional Hospital under the care of Grinnell Regional Hospice. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour with Father Nicholas J. Adam officiating.
Margarette was born on March 20, 1936, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Anthony M. and Angela Sophia (Schebler) Ruefer.
She retired from the Meskwaki Casino, where she worked in customer service. Margarette loved puzzles, gardening, fishing and NASCAR. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Donald Phillips Poteete.
Survivors include her son, George (Susan) Biggs of Montour; four grandchildren, George Donald Biggs Jr., Yolanda Lena Biggs, Theresa Aiken and Angelique Randal; two great-grandchildren, Koby Andrew Nelson and Brooklyn Dawn Nelson; one sister, Kate Stark; three brothers, Jerry, Don and Vince Ruefer; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established.
