TAMA-Marian Ruth Manfull, age 80, of Tama, died on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames due to a short illness. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church Worship Center in Toledo with Pastor Mary Schnepf officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from 5-8 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Marian Ruth Manfull was born on August 4, 1926, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Ruth (Davis) Spire. She graduated from Tama High School. On November 20, 1947, she was united in marriage to Paul Manfull at the Montour Church Parsonage. She taught country school from 1943 until 1948 and then raised her family. She lived in the Tama, Toledo, and Montour area her whole life. Marian sang in the church choir and the Farm Bureau Choir. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of Tama; three children, Peg (Francis) Kinion of Liscomb, Pat (Doug Smith) Willey of Marshalltown, and Robert (Sharon) Manfull of Toledo; two sisters, Evelyn Paxton of Marshalltown, and Verna Lacina of Toledo; one brother, Dean Spire of Constantia, NY; six grandchildren, Stephanie Daniels, Stacey Kinion, Heather (Jeff) Duncan, Dustin Willey, Shannon Manfull, and Shane Manfull; and five great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Konner, Logan and Zoey Willey, and Madison Duncan.
A memorial fund has been established.
