Marilyn Dameron, 77, of Hastings, MN and formerly of Tama, passed Friday, August 7, 2026 at Benedictine Living Community in Hastings, MN. A Traditional Wake will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.

Marilyn was born on October 13, 1948, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Truman and Frieda (Youngbear) Black Cloud.

Marilyn graduated from South Tama High School.

Marilyn was a Bingo caller at the casino. She enjoyed gambling, family, movies, going out to eat, or just being on the move.

Survivors include her children, Amy Black Cloud of Hastings, MN, and Ryan Black Cloud of Marshalltown; brothers, Frank Black Cloud, Dale Black Cloud, and Larry Black Cloud, all of Tama; adopted siblings, Peggy Wanatee, Priscilla Wanatee, Darlene Lasley, and Stella (Ray) Youngbear.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Richard Harris, daughter, Andrea Black Cloud; siblings, Janet, Andrea, Truman, Mary Jo, Eileen, Norman, Sue, and Wendy.
