Marge was born on December 5, 1935, on the family farm in York Twp, in Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Upah) Cecak.
She was educated in rural Tama County and graduated from Toledo High School in 1953. After graduation, Marge worked for H.S. Lames, DVM in Dysart from 1953-1958 and then moved to Cedar Rapids, where she worked for Iowa National Mutual Insurance until 1963.
On October 19, 1963, she married Willard Nekola, of Tama County, and together they had three children. While they lived and farmed in rural Vining, Marge stayed home to raise the children until they were in school. She began working at the Tama County Courthouse in 1975 and she and the children moved to Tama-Toledo in 1980 after Willard unexpectedly passed away at the age of 51. Marge worked for the Tama County Auditor's Office until her retirement in 1995.
Marge was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was loved dearly and was a stubborn Bohemie til the very end.
Survivors include her children, Marlys Upah of Tama, Joanne (Jerome) Husak of Toledo, and David (Carol) Nekola of Toledo, four grandchildren, Sydney Upah (Nick Kaizer), Saylor Upah (Daniel Ziolkowski), Katie Husak, and Kylie Husak; her siblings, Dianne Pokorny of Clutier; Dale (Judy) Cecak of LeGrand; sister-in-law Mary Cecak of Traer; two aunts Violet Dvorak of Clutier and Leona Cecak of Toledo, and many nieces, and nephews.

Special thanks go out to Sunny Hill Care Center and their employees for their exceptional care of Marge during her stay.
