TAMA-Marlene Ann Doran, 76, of Tama, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A Memorial Visitation will be will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama.
Marlene was born on August 15, 1934, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Orin and Helen (Evans) Schultz.
On March 31, 1958, she was united in marriage to James Doran in Oklahoma. Marlene enjoyed shopping, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James in 2006; a son in infancy, Randy Green; her stepfather, LeVerne Forrester in 2011; and her sister, Mardis Skala.
Survivors include her children, Duane Alan Doran of Marshalltown, Douglas James Doran of Tama, Jayme Lynn (Gary) Upah of Tama and Jannae LaNette Doran of Tama; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Derek Doran, Dustin (Doran) Naniot, Brody and Brooke Upah, and Levi and Alexis Bro; two great grandchildren, Paisley Jo Bro and Nya Leigh Doran; her brother-in-law, Larry Skala of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established.
