Michael Scott Renaud, 68, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 12-4PM at the Tama American Legion Hall.

Michael was born December 21, 1948, in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Albert Preston and Helen Gladys (Pappas) Renaud.

He attended Grinnell High School.

Michael served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

On November 6, 1976, he was united in marriage to Anneita Anderson in Grinnell, Iowa. Michael formerly worked at the Meskwaki Casino in the buffet and before that was a welder at Miracle Recreation Equipment Company in Grinnell and M. Gervich and Sons, Inc in Marshalltown. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing Bingo and cards. Michael loved his cat Pest.

Survivors include his wife, Anneita of Toledo; his children, Alan Waseskuk of Tama, Anissa Waseskuk of Toledo, Anna Waseskuk of Marshalltown, and Wanda Renaud of Toledo; nine grandchildren, Franchesca, Jonathan, Mary, Kaitlynn, Laezlow, and Aiden Waseskuk, Christina Renaud, Ezequiel Castanon, and Dominic Waseskuk; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Reno of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one grandson, Jose Gonzalez; two sisters, Sally Innis and Judy Cofey.
