Obituary

Myona Dove Chyma, 86, of Tama, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Premier Estates of Toledo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Thurday, March 30, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Myona was born of February 4, 1931, in Shelby County, IN, the daughter of Bryan and Viola (Wigner) Hamner. She moved to Tama in 1947 to live with her sister.
On July 31, 1948, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Chyma at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Myona was a farmwife and homemaker. She spent many nights being present for the birth of the baby pigs. Myona always had a garden and liked to can, sew, and read. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to mushroom hunt. She enjoyed traveling with Lloyd Sr. and other family members. Myona was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was in the CCW.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Lloyd Sr. of Tama; her children, Sharon (Mike) Niewahner of Toledo, Carol Chyma (Donald Manor) of Phoenix, AZ, Lloyd Jr. "Mac" (Julie) Chyma of Tama, and Andy (Dena) Chyma of Tama; seven grandchildren, Cammie (James) Harrelson, Brenon (Emily) Chyma, Lanny (Melissa) Feisel, Bryce (Brianna) Chyma, Shannon Feisel, Chris Chyma, and Katie Chyma; six great-grandchildren, Tyson Leslie Harrelson, Jet and Jax Chyma, Lane, Wyatt, and Harper Feisel, and one on the way; two sisters, Mary Miller of Indianapolis, and Reta (Jefferson) Sethman-House of Indianapolis; one sister-in-law, Sally Hamner of Van Alstyne, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; six brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
