TAMA-Nancy Davenport, age 90, of the Meskwaki Settlement died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at her home. Traditional Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement with Michael Keahna as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held on Wednesday evening, February 28 at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building.
Nancy Davenport was born on August 22, 1916, on the settlement in Tama, the daughter of George and Me Sqe Si Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; one son, Gordon Davenport; two brothers, Talbert and Martin; three sisters, Mabel Keahna, Christine Buffalo, and Una Leaf.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
