Obituary

Nancy Kay Fowler, 71, of Tama passed away, Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Premier Estates of Toledo under the care of Grinnell Regional Hospice. A Memorial Gathering and luncheon will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 12 noon to 4:00 PM at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room in Toledo.

Nancy was born on May 4, 1943, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Nettie (Adams) Werner Sr.
She attended South Tama Schools.
On October 8, 1966, she was united in marriage to Ramon Fowler in Missouri. Nancy had previously worked at Fisher Controls, Fowler Fabrics, Meskwaki Bingo and Casino and also did babysitting. Nancy was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Tama. She enjoyed Elvis, Bingo, collecting giraffes, playing cards, reading books, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Craig Fowler; a stepson, Randy Fowler; three brothers, Henry, Bill and Russ Werner.
Survivors include her husband, Ramon of Tama; her children, Keith (Leslie) Klenk of Shreveport, LA, Jeanie (Mike) Purcell of Slidell, LA, Peggy (Pete) Chamberlain of Clarksdale, AZ, Vicky (Shane) White of Chelsea, Scott (Denise) Fowler of Marengo and Ed (Karen) Haubach of Marshalltown; her stepchildren, Collette Thomas of Onamia, MN and Cathy Morgan of Center Point; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna (Bob) Atha of Marshalltown and Jo Ann Kriegel of Tama.
