Norma Jean Albertson, 87, of Tama, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2- 5 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.


Norma was born on April 26, 1928, in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Noblett) Miller.
She graduated from Cresco High School in 1946.
On October 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Ervin Albertson at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cresco, Iowa. Norma was formerly employed at the Tama News Herald. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Norma enjoyed sewing and was a great cook.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, Ervin of Tama; seven children, Connie Regenold of Ames, Mike Albertson of Ft. Smith, AR, Alan (Diane) Albertson of Walker, Joanne (Richard) Woodford of Kellyville, OK, Lisa (Bill) Sullivan of Santa Maria, CA, Donald Albertson of Jesup and Kim (Lloyd) Davenport of Toledo; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Miller of Cresco; two sisters, Betty Fravel of Cresco and Sandra (Lacy) Jeffreys of Columbia, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Janice Herold and Shirley Hass; one brother, Donald Miller; one grandson, Scott Morris; one granddaughter, Melissa Sullivan; and one great-granddaughter, Erica Woodford.
A memorial fund has been established.
