Patricia Jean Murty, 56, of Tama and formerly of Chelsea, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the Mercy Hospice Home in Hiawatha, IA. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1-3pm at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a prayer service following at 3pm. A private interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chelsea will be held at a future date.

Patricia was born on October 31, 1963, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Ludvick and Mary Ann (Behounek) Sheda. She attended South Tama County Schools and received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA. Patty was a big fan of music and enjoyed spending time on her phone talking with friends and family. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandkids.

Patricia is survived and lovingly remembered by her significant other, Lupe Fonseca of Tama; three children, Danny (Jason) Yuska of Downer's Grove, IL, Brian Yuska of Toledo, and Nick Murty of Chelsea; five grandchildren, Brylee, Paityn, Preston "Bubba", Malayna, and Reese; her siblings, Barb Johannsen of Reinbeck and Tom (Roberta) Sheda of St. Louis, Mo; her dog, Barbara Jean; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her sister Rose Sheda and brother Sam Sheda; her brother-in-law, Gordon Johannsen; and dog, Katie Jo.
