TOLEDO-Pauline M. Allee, 83, of Toledo, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Public Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Allee, Ross Johns, Daniel Landry, Matt Smith, Dane Owens and Terry Goodhart. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 from 5:30 – 8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Pauline was born June 15, 1928 in Chelsea, Iowa, the daughter of William and Emma (Vavroch) Dvorak. She grew up in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School.
On August 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leo W. Allee at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. They moved to Tama in 1954, where they lived for forty-two years.
Pauline was a legal secretary for several lawyers in the Tama-Toledo area for twenty-six years. She was a member of the Tama Legion Auxiliary for twenty-four years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Leo; a son, William; and a brother, Kenneth.
Pauline is survived by three children, Connie & Garnet Johns of Fort Dodge, Patrick & Diane Allee of Freeport, IL, and Kaye & Denny Landry of Port Allen, LA; five grandchildren, Matthew & Maryam Allee, Paula & Matt Smith, Ross Johns, Allison Landry and Daniel Landry. She is also survived by a very special sister-in-law, Ruth Dvorak of Pella; and several nieces and nephews.
