Pauline was born August 10, 1930, to John and Julia (Vavra) Sedlacek at home on the farm 2 ½ miles SW of Clutier.
She attended country school through eighth grade at Carroll #7. After finishing school, she helped out with many farm duties on the family farm. She was also a house girl/nanny for neighbors and several families in Tama/Toledo.
On September 20, 1950, Pauline married Leslie Sienknecht at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They were married for sixty-five years. After her kids were in school, she detasseled and sorted seed corn. She was a hard worker and loved being a farm wife and all that goes with it.
Pauline was a long-time active member of the Clutier Community Church and the Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitching and quilting, but her family was a very important part of her life.
Survivors include her sons, Mark (Tracy) Sienknecht of Clutier, and Alan (Kristi) Sienknecht of Clutier; son-in-law, Dan Larson; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leslie in 2016; daughter, Donna Larson in 2018; four brothers; three sisters; many brothers and sisters in law; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund will be established.
