Renelle Darla "A-ka-tti-a" Young Bear, 35, of Tama, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at UnityPoint-Marshalltown. A Traditional Wake will be held Saturday evening at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement.

Renelle was born on September 22, 1987, in Marshalltown Iowa, the daughter of the late Todd Dana Young Bear and Reba Blackcloud.

She graduated from South Tama High School.

Renelle loved watching "Shrek" and other movies.

Survivors include her mother, Reba Blackcloud of Tama; siblings, Trent Dylan Young Bear of Tama, Jon Young Bear of Tama, Carlos Ortiz of Ankeny, Adrian T. Hoag Jr. of Mesa, AZ and Heather Hoag of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her father, Todd Dana Young Bear; and brother, Tremayne Dalton Young Bear.
