TOLEDO-Richard G. "Dicky" Tesar Jr., age 43, of Davenport and formerly of Toledo, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home in Davenport. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 15 at 5:00 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Richard was born on January 5, 1966, in Marshalltown, the son of Richard G. and Alice E. (Zenor) Tesar.
He graduated from South Tama County High School in 1984. He formerly worked at Lennox in Marshalltown and then in their Davenport warehouse. "Dicky" loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed taxidermy.
Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Richard G. Tesar Sr., Charles Duhachek and Earl Zenor.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Alice Tesar of Rhodes; two sisters, Teresa (Rod) Sieck of Ankeny and Pam (Scott) Banyas of Ankeny; nieces and nephews, Tricia (Cole) Heberer, Stephanie, Natalie and Meredith Sieck, and Madison, Wilson, Lincoln and Maci Banyas, all of Ankeny; great nephews, Stetson and Keith Heberer of Ankeny; his grandmothers, Nelda Duhachek of Tama and Maxine Zenor of Rhodes; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
