TAMA-Robert C. Keraghan, age 51, of Tama, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center due to a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2007 from 9-11 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Robert C. Keraghan was born on August 11, 1955, in Boston, MA, the son of William J. and Mabel E. (Bodenrader) Keraghan.
After graduating from high school, he attended Culinary School and was a very good cook. He served his country in the U. S. Army.
On March 25, 1995, he was united in marriage to Georgia Kapayou in Las Vegas, NV. Robert was a truck driver and had previously worked for Coca Cola in Boston. He enjoyed dressing up as Elvis Presley and his music. He also spent a lot of time taking care of his tropical fish.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia of Tama; two sons, Rodney Keraghan at home and Robert Keraghan Jr. of Florida; one daughter, Corrine Keraghan of Florida; three sisters; and one brother.
A memorial fund has been established.
