TOLEDO-Ronald "Marty" Quigley II, age 48, of Toledo, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 4 to 7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Marty was born on February 13, 1962, in Davenport, IA, the son of Ronald Martin and Louise (Westerfield) Quigley.
He graduated from STC High School in 1980.
On August 20, 2005, he was united in marriage to Tammy Cooper in Toledo, Iowa. He was previously married to Marcia Sturtz and Chris Cooper. Marty was currently employed by Iowa Mold and Engineering in Belle Plaine and formerly Farmhand in Grinnell. He was a 3rd degree Master Mason. Marty was an avid baseball fan, especially the Minnesota Twins. He also loved the Vikings. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Tanner Jo Quigley in 2001; and one brother, Michael Murty.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy of Toledo; two sons, Dan Quigley of Scranton and Colten Quigley at home; one sister, Linda (Dave) Stone of Conrad; one brother, Lester (Sue) Murty II of Bremerton, WA; his father and mother-in-law, Rick and Kathy Cooper and family of Toledo; one aunt, Doris Thompson of LeGrand; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
