TAMA-Sam Oliver Lincoln, age 35, of Tama, died suddenly Sunday, May 27, 2007 on the Meskwaki Settlement. Traditional Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement. A Traditional Wake was held on Monday evening, May 28th at his home on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.
Sam Oliver Lincoln was born on December 15, 1971, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Roy O. and Lucy (Benson) Lincoln Sr. He graduated from STC High School and was employed at the Meskwaki Bingo & Casino. Sam enjoyed listening to music, watching races, UFC fighting, and hanging out with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Roy Oliver Lincoln Jr.
Survivors include two brothers, Elliott Lincoln and Aaron Walker both of Tama; three sisters, Julie Lincoln, Judy Lincoln, and Jonette Lincoln all of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.
