Samuel Stephen Sheda, 53, of Reinbeck, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Prayer Service following at 7 PM. A Private Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chelsea will be held at a future date.

Samuel was born on October 17, 1965, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Ludvick W. and Mary (Behounek) Sheda.

Samuel graduated in 1987 from a Catholic School in St. Louis, MO. He was working at CIRSI since 1991, retiring at the age of fifty. Samuel loved playing basketball, keeping sports statistics and scores and liked the TV Guide. He enjoyed all kinds of music and was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include his siblings, Barbara Johannsen of Reinbeck, Tom (Roberta) Sheda of St. Charles, MO, and Patty Murty of Tama; his special brothers, Jeremy Vaverka, Juston Vaverka, Jason Vaverka, Lance Johannsen, and Aaron Johannsen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Rose Ortiz; and one brother-in-law, Gordon Johannsen.
