Sandra Jo Vecera Bidwell, 52, of Tama and formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Private interment will be held at a future date at the Malcom Cemetery.

Sandra was born on August 30, 1960, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of John and Carol (Myers) Vecera. She was a homemaker. Sandy enjoyed going out to eat, going to the Casino, and loved movies.
She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Drew Bidwell; her grandmother, Vivian Myers; and her brother-in-law, Buck Smith.
Survivors include her longtime companion of twenty-five years, Mike Bidwell of Tama; one son, Michael Bidwell of Tama; her mother, Carol Vecera of Peoria, IL; one sister, Carla Smith of Peoria, IL; one niece, Jenny Smith and her children, Courtney, Katie, Emily, and Aiden.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
