Obituary

Sharon Kay Epperly, 76, of Toledo, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Sharon was born on August 19, 1947, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Ruth (Lohrenz) Knowler.

She graduated from Sigourney High School.

On May 15, 1971, she was united in marriage to Robert Epperly in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Sharon was past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed Sudoku, puzzles, reading and crocheting. She and Bob were avid Chicago Cubs fans and enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye wrestling.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Epperly (Carrie Vorwald) of Tama and B.J. Epperly of Tama; six grandchildren, Kinzee (Devon) Marsh, Kelsey (Brandon) Dvorak, Kolby Starits, Karlee (Ryan) Kasal, Kadence and Koya Epperly; three great-grandchildren, Keyleigh, Oakland and Paisley; siblings, Loretta (Dan) Barnhart of Washington, Debra Barron of Hiawatha, Barbara Pidima of Victor and John (Debbie) Knowler of Sigourney; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob" Epperly; two brothers-in-law, Steve Barron and Steve "Pid" Pidima.
