Shirley Anne Kingery, 78, of Tama, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 10 AM until service time at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Shirley was born on April 3, 1938, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Rutledge) Buckley.
On August 28, 1960, she married Arnold Kingery. Shirley was previously employed at the Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and Walmart. She loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed crossword puzzles and hand held electronic games.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Baxter of Cedar Rapids, Kenny (Sally) McAdoo of Tama, A.K. Kingery of Mt. Pleasant, Ronda (Mike) Heying of Bentonville, AR, and Dennis "Mouse" Kingery of Solon; a step-daughter, Linda (Bill) Davis of Big Bear, CA; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jimmy Buckley of Tama, Freddie Buckley of Tama, David Buckley of VA, and Carol Anderson of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Arnold; one great-granddaughter; and four siblings, Floyd Rutledge, Alvie Buckley, Mary Gonzales and Barb Buckley.
