Tessa Nicole Morgan, "Tta Ki Skwasea", 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her home. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Luke Kapayou as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday evening, May 2, 2022 at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement.

Tessa was born on August 9, 1970, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Gene R. Morgan and Ida Mae Potter.

She graduated from Grinnell High School and attended NIACC. She liked gardening and loved music. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Gabrielle McKeag, Fadre McKeag, Brittany Youngbear, Asher Buffalo, and Teaghan Buffalo; grandchildren, Maverick Dalton, Meeko Shuckahosee, Margie Shuckahosee, Melo Shuckahosee, Myrie Shuckahosee, Adam Mills, and Isaiah Buffalo; father, Gene Morgan; and brother, Barry Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
