Thomas Aaron Davenport "Bemwetaka", 65, of Tama, passed away on Saturday June 28, 2025, at Premier Estates of Toledo in Toledo, Iowa.  A Traditional Wake will be held Monday evening, June 30, 2025, at the Glenn Roberts' Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Tom was born on August 2, 1959, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Myrtle Faye Keahna and Wilbur Keahna.

Tom lived in several places in Iowa but lived the majority of his life in Tama, Iowa. He loved dogs especially his long- time companion, a mixed cocker spaniel named Rusty. He worked various occupations but really enjoyed working at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Tom enjoyed watching comedies and especially loved John Candy's movies.

Tom never married nor had any children.

Survivors include his niece, Jennifer Keahna and nephews, Wilbur Keahna and Gregory Keahna Jr., sister-in-law Kristine Keahna, all of Tama; granddaughter, Alexandria Keahna-Harris of Tama; grandson Roman Keahna-Harris of Ankeny; and adopted brother, Adrian Pushetonequa of Tama.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother Gregory Lyle Keahna Sr; and his canine friend Rusty.
