Tillie E. Melsa, 95, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Carrington Place of Toledo. A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Tillie was born on June 15, 1918, in Toledo, the daughter of John and Katherine (Mishek) Sotyn. She attended country school. Tillie was united in marriage to Fred J. Melsa on November 18, 1937 in Toledo. She helped Fred farm near Toledo until they retired and moved to Tama in 1973. During their retirement, they enjoyed fishing in Canada for many years. Tillie also enjoyed gardening and dancing.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia "Patty" (Al) Price of Tama; two grandsons, Brian (Deb) Price of Tama and Brad (Tammy) Price of Keystone; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Fred on April 18, 1992; two sisters; and one brother.
