TAMA- Vincent Louis Troxell, 49, of Tama passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rev. LaVern Seth officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held at the Delores Troxell residence, 160 W. Quail Rd. in rural Tama, from 8 AM on Friday, January 31, 2014 until 4 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2014


Vincent was born on May 6, 1964 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Elmer H. and Delores (Mitchell) Troxell Jr. He attended South Tama Schools. Vincent had worked as a landscaper. He liked listening to music and reading. Vincent also enjoyed being with friends and traveling.
Survivors include his mother, Delores Troxell of Tama; siblings, Andrea (Kirby) Brown of Tama, Elmer H. (Sandra) Troxell III of Toledo, Mark Troxell of Tama, Mary Troxell of Tama, Rebecca (Ruben) Garcia of Tama, Jared Joe (Stephanie) Troxell of Tama, and Caleb Troxell of Toledo; many nieces and nephews; and four great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, an infant sister, Linda Cathleen Troxell, an infant niece, Sierra Anne Troxell, and an uncle, LaVern Mitchell.
A memorial fund has been established.
