TAMA-Viola Dorothy Novotny, age 85, of Milwaukee, WI and formerly of Tama, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Milwaukee Veteran's Administration Hospital following a short illness. Graveside Services and Interment will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama with Father Michael Mescher officiating.
Viola was born on July 9, 1923, in Tama, the daughter of Hynek and Anna (Dvorak) Novotny.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Alan "Bud" Novotny; four sisters, Mildred Novotny, Lucille and Adeline Semotan, and Genevieve Novotny.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Humayun) Khan of Eau Claire, WI; three grandchildren, Bucky, Sammy and Afreen; one sister, Marcella Novotny of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is handling the local arrangements.
