TAMA- Wanda Lynne (Rivas) Youngbear, age 60, of Tama, died on Saturday, April 8, 2006 in her home on the Meskwaki Settlement following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 9, at 2:00 PM at her home on the settlement. A traditional wake was held Saturday evening at her home.
Wanda Lynne (Rivas) Youngbear was born on November 8, 1945, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Curtis and Josephine Mitchell Youngbear. She was a homemaker.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father; her twin sister, Juanita Youngbear; three brothers, Richard, Curtis Jr. and Victor Youngbear.
Survivors include three sons, Donovan Dye of Toledo, Lawrence Dye of Toledo, and Damen Flagg of Tama; two daughters, Angelica Roberts of Denver, CO and Armandina Rivas of Marshalltown; her mother, Josephine Mitchell Youngbear of Tama; three brothers, Ellsworth Youngbear of Tama, Calvin Youngbear of Tama and Jon Youngbear of Tama; four sisters, Judith Bender of Tama, Donna Wolf of Tama, Karlene Armajo of Ethete, WY, and Robin Kapayou of Tama and eleven grandchildren.
