Obituary

MONTOUR-William D. Naniot, age 69, of Montour, died on March 22, 2006, in Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center due to a lengthy illness. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. LaVern Seth officiating. There will be no visitation.
William D. Naniot was born on June 17, 1936, in Green Bay, WI, the son of Henry and Mildred Lindsley Naniot. On June 17, 1959, he was united in marriage to Beverly Balza in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was previously employed by Tama Pack and retired from IBP in Dakota City, Nebraska. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. He had formerly served in the Wisconsin National Guard.
William was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene Naniot; three brothers, Kenneth, Roger and Paul Naniot
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Beverly of Montour; two daughters, Gail (Nick) Plavets of Sherman, TX, and Llana Bennett of Montour; one brother, Peter (Sue) Naniot of Green Bay, WI; nine grandchildren, Dustin, Louis, Ben and Zack Naniot, Will and Paul Plavets, Emily and David Bennett, Erin (Chad) Ellingson; one great-grandson, Lane Ellingson; and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Jan Balza of Green Bay, WI.
A memorial fund has been established.
