TAMA-Wilson Lee Roberts, 58, of Tama, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Friday, December 20, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Michael Keahna as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Thursday evening, December 19, 2013 at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Wilson was born on September 14, 1955, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Mae (Keahna) Roberts Sr.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Wilson enjoyed drawing, basketball and was a very outgoing person. He liked being around family and friends. His favorite saying was that he was the "Chief of All Nations".
Survivors include three brothers, Gordon, Elmer and Lou Roberts of Tama; and one sister, Roberta Delaware of Tama; an uncle, Isaac Roberts of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Ray Roberts; and two nephews, Gerald and Elton Mickey Roberts.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with arrangements.
